Description & Tasting Notes

Accept no imitations – this is the real deal. Fresh mozzarella made to DOP specifications using buffalo milk in Campania, Italy. There has been a tradition of making buffalo mozzarella in this region since the middle ages.

Once you have tasted the unique flavour – milky, lactic, mossy and sweet – you can NEVER go back. If you gently tear the cheese apart, a little fresh milk will seep out and you will notice the ‘angel hair’ texture – small strands created during the ‘stretched curd’ cheese-making process.


Other Notes & Serving Suggestions

This is a fresh cheese, so be eaten as soon as possible. Use it to make a simple caprese salad with basil and tomato, to top woodfired pizza and baked dishes, or simply serve drizzled with EVOO on an antipasto platter.

Keep refrigerated at all times.
