Description & Tasting Notes

Délice des Crémiers translates to ‘delight of the cheese-maker/dairy-man’. It is modelled on the famous triple cream cheese Brillat Savarin, but has a slightly firmer texture.

Under the thin white rind the interior is super-decadent – rich and creamy with a cakey, whipped texture. There is a note of tangy crème fraîche and a hint of salt on the finish.

 

Other Notes & Serving Suggestions

Like other triple cream cheeses, Délice goes well with Champagne and sparkling wines. Serve with crisp crackers and fresh seasonal fruit.

At room temperature the cheese will become soft, but not especially runny – more like whipped cream. It is a popular choice for the top layer of a wedding ‘cheese cake’.
